Ingredients
-
1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
-
2 cups broccoli florets
-
4 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1 cup chicken broth
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
Grated Parmesan (optional, for garnish)
-
Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Add chicken, season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook 5–7 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
-
Add garlic to skillet and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
-
Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and simmer gently.
-
Return chicken to skillet; simmer 5 minutes until sauce thickens.
-
Stir in broccoli during the last 5 minutes, cooking until tender and bright green.
-
Garnish with Parmesan and parsley before serving.
Notes
Avoid overcooking chicken for maximum juiciness.
Frozen broccoli works—add earlier so it fully cooks.
Thicken the sauce by simmering longer or adding a cornstarch slurry.
Add a splash of white wine before broth for extra depth.
Parmesan can be stirred into the sauce, not just sprinkled.
