Description

Creamy Garlic Chicken and Broccoli Skillet is a quick, one-pan dinner that combines tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and a luscious garlic cream sauce. Ready in just 35 minutes, this comforting yet elegant dish is perfect for busy weeknights, cozy family dinners, or even entertaining guests with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Grated Parmesan (optional, for garnish)

  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add chicken, season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook 5–7 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

  • Add garlic to skillet and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir and simmer gently.

  • Return chicken to skillet; simmer 5 minutes until sauce thickens.

  • Stir in broccoli during the last 5 minutes, cooking until tender and bright green.

  • Garnish with Parmesan and parsley before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcooking chicken for maximum juiciness.

Frozen broccoli works—add earlier so it fully cooks.

Thicken the sauce by simmering longer or adding a cornstarch slurry.

Add a splash of white wine before broth for extra depth.

Parmesan can be stirred into the sauce, not just sprinkled.
