  • pounds flank steak or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  2. Mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger with the steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Prepare the vegetables by slicing peppers, onion, and broccoli.
  4. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry.
  5. Heat a griddle or large skillet over medium-high heat and add oil.
  6. Cook the marinated steak for 2–3 minutes until lightly seared, then remove and set aside.

  8. Return the steak to the griddle and mix with the vegetables.
  9. Pour in the cornstarch slurry and sprinkle red pepper flakes over the mixture.

  11. Serve hot over cooked rice.

Notes

  1. Slice steak thinly against the grain for tenderness.
  2. Marinate steak at least 30 minutes for better flavor.
  3. Prepare all vegetables before cooking because stir fry cooks quickly.
  4. Adjust red pepper flakes to control spice level.
  5. Avoid overcrowding the griddle; cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Watch garlic carefully to prevent burning.
