Description

A flaky croissant stuffed with rich chocolate chip cookie dough and baked until golden and gooey inside.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 15 croissants
  • Powdered sugar, optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. Whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
  3. Beat butter and sugars until creamy, then add eggs and vanilla
  4. Mix in dry ingredients and fold in chocolate chips
  5. Slice croissants and fill with cookie dough
  6. Bake for 12 minutes until golden
  7. Cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar, and serve

Notes

  1. Packaged cookie dough may be used instead of homemade
  2. Mini croissants require less dough
  3. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days
