Description

Classic Rhubarb Crisp is a sweet and tangy dessert with a buttery oat topping, perfect for easy homemade baking.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups rhubarb cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F
  2. Mix rhubarb sugar flour and cinnamon in an 8×8 baking dish
  3. In a bowl mix butter oats flour brown sugar salt and cinnamon until crumbly
  4. Sprinkle topping evenly over rhubarb mixture
  5. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden and bubbling

Notes

  1. Reduce sugar to 3/4 cup for less sweetness
  2. Use fresh rhubarb for best flavor
  3. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream
