Description

Sweet, smoky, and protein-packed chicken skewers with a bold honey chipotle glaze that cooks quickly on the grill or in the oven.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 32 ounces boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons chipotle chili powder
  • 1 garlic clove finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips using a sharp knife.
  2. Thread the chicken onto wooden skewers in an accordion pattern.
  3. Whisk together honey, tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, chipotle chili powder, garlic, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Coat the chicken skewers evenly with the sauce.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
  6. Grill skewers for 10 to 12 minutes, turning and basting every few minutes.
  7. Cook until the chicken reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit internally.
  8. Alternatively bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 16 to 18 minutes until fully cooked.

Notes

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water before grilling to prevent burning.
  2. Fresh lime juice adds extra brightness before serving.
  3. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to four days.
