Description

Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars baked in a 9×13 pan with a soft center, rich chocolate flavor, and simple steps for an easy dessert.

Ingredients

Scale

2 1/8 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

12 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F and line a 9×13 pan with parchment.

2. Whisk flour, salt, and baking soda.

3. Mix melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.

4. Add eggs and vanilla.

5. Combine dry and wet ingredients gently.

6. Fold in chocolate chips.

7. Spread batter in pan.

8. Bake 25–30 minutes until golden.

9. Cool fully before slicing.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.

Freeze slices for longer storage.

Slight underbaking keeps the bars extra chewy.
