Description
This Cheesy Hamburger Rice Casserole is a creamy, hearty dish featuring ground beef, rice, and melted cheddar cheese baked to perfection.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 cup long-grain rice, uncooked
2 cups beef broth
1 (10.75 oz) can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp paprika
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
2. In a skillet, cook beef, onion, and garlic until browned. Drain fat.
3. Stir in rice, beef broth, and mushroom soup. Add salt, pepper, and paprika. Simmer 5 minutes.
4. Transfer to baking dish, cover, and bake for 25 minutes.
5. Remove foil, add cheese, and bake uncovered 10–15 minutes.
6. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Swap beef with mushrooms for vegetarian version.
Add jalapeños or red pepper flakes for spice.
Store leftovers up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months.
