Quick and comforting, these skillet wraps are perfect for busy weeknights, casual lunches, or even party appetizers. With just a handful of simple ingredients, they deliver big on cheesy, garlicky satisfaction.
Ingredients
-
2 cups cooked chicken breast, diced (280 g)
-
4 cloves garlic, minced (12 g)
-
1 tbsp olive oil (15 ml)
-
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (115 g)
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (115 g)
-
4 medium flour tortillas (about 200 g total)
-
1 tbsp butter (15 g)
-
1 tbsp chopped parsley, optional (5 g)
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
-
If using raw chicken, season with salt and pepper, then cook (bake, sauté, or grill) until fully cooked. Dice into bite-sized pieces.
-
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté garlic for 30–60 seconds until fragrant (do not burn).
-
Add diced chicken, tossing to coat in the garlic oil. Remove from heat.
-
Stir in mozzarella and cheddar while chicken is warm, creating a melty filling.
-
Place a tortilla flat, spoon filling into the center, fold sides in, and roll into a burrito-style wrap. Repeat for remaining tortillas.
-
Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt butter. Place wraps seam-side down, press gently, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
-
Transfer to a plate, let rest for 1–2 minutes, slice, and garnish with parsley if desired.
Notes
Warm tortillas for 10 seconds in the microwave if they crack while rolling.
Brush wraps with butter or olive oil before toasting for extra crunch.
Swap cheeses: try smoked cheddar, pepper jack, or Monterey Jack for variety.
For a vegetarian version, replace chicken with black beans, mushrooms, or roasted vegetables.
