Description

A quick, creamy, cheesy, and garlicky wrap that’s skillet-toasted for the perfect crispy outside and gooey inside. These 20-minute garlic chicken wraps are a lifesaver for busy weeknights, lunchboxes, or when you crave comfort food without the fuss. Loaded with tender chicken, mozzarella, cheddar, cream cheese, and a touch of garlic butter, they’re a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Filling

  • 2 cups cooked shredded or chopped chicken (480 g)

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil (15 ml)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder (5 g)

  • ½ tsp onion powder (2.5 g)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella (170 g)

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar (60 g)

  • ¼ cup softened cream cheese (60 g)

  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise (30 ml)

  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tsp dried)

For Wrap & Assembly

  • 4 large flour tortillas

  • 2 Tbsp melted butter (30 ml)

  • 1 tsp minced garlic

  • Optional: baby spinach, shredded lettuce, or sliced tomatoes

Instructions

  • Mix the filling: In a large bowl, combine chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, mozzarella, cheddar, cream cheese, mayo, and parsley. Stir until smooth and creamy.

  • Assemble the wraps: Lay out tortillas, divide the filling evenly, and add optional veggies if desired. Fold in the sides and roll tightly.

  • Brush with garlic butter: Mix melted butter and minced garlic. Brush the outside of each wrap with the mixture.

  • Toast in a skillet: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place wraps seam-side down and cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  • Serve: Slice in half and serve warm with ranch, garlic aioli, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Leftover or rotisserie chicken saves time.

Don’t skimp on the garlic butter—it’s the secret to that golden, crispy tortilla.

Use medium heat for even toasting without burning.

Make extra filling ahead of time for a quick snack or lunch.

For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt or swap in turkey bacon or veggies.
