Description
Fresh caramelized peaches cooked in butter, maple syrup, lemon juice, and vanilla for an easy summer dessert.

- 6 fresh peaches, sliced into wedges
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Wash and slice the peaches into wedges.
- Optional: blanch and peel the peaches before slicing.
- Add peaches, lemon juice, maple syrup, and salt to a bowl and toss gently.
- Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the peach mixture to the skillet in an even layer.
- Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until caramelized.
- Stir in vanilla extract and cook for 1 additional minute.
- Remove from heat and serve warm.
Notes
- Use slightly firm peaches for the best texture.
- Do not cook over high heat or the syrup may burn.
- Serve warm with ice cream, yogurt, pancakes, or oatmeal.
