- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 5 to 6 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2/3 cup sliced dill pickles
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 2/3 cup ketchup
- 1/3 cup yellow mustard
- 1 1/2 tablespoons mayonnaise
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- Roll or stretch the pizza dough and pre-bake it for 6 minutes.
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small crumbles until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Combine the ketchup, yellow mustard, and mayonnaise in a small bowl until smooth.
- Spread the burger sauce evenly over the pre-baked pizza crust.
- Sprinkle a light layer of mozzarella over the sauce.
- Add the cooked ground beef, chopped onion, and sliced dill pickles.
- Cover the toppings with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 8 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese melts and bubbles and the crust turns golden.
- Rest for 3 to 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Add cooked bacon pieces, peppers, different melting cheeses, or cooked onion rings for variation.
- Mix hot sauce into the burger sauce for extra heat.
- Add precooked French fries before baking for a hearty burger-inspired variation.
- For make-ahead preparation, assemble the toppings on the pre-baked crust, cover tightly, and refrigerate for up to one day before baking.
- For freezing, assemble the pizza on the pre-baked crust, wrap well, and freeze for up to 2 months. Bake from frozen and add a few extra minutes to the cooking time.
