Description
Fresh and creamy guacamole made with ripe avocados, tomatoes, red onion, jalapeno, lime juice, cilantro, and spices for a quick Mexican-style appetizer.

- 4–5 ripe avocados
- 1 medium tomato seeds removed
- 1/2 small red onion
- 1 large jalapeno
- Juice from 1 lime
- 1 tablespoon fresh minced cilantro
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Cut avocados in half and remove the pit carefully with a knife twist.
- Scoop the avocado pulp from the skins into a mixing bowl and discard skins and pits.
- Mash the avocado with a fork or potato masher until mostly smooth.
- Seed and mince the jalapeno, mince the red onion, and dice the tomato.
- Add the jalapeno, onion, and tomato to the mashed avocado.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice into the bowl.
- Add cilantro, cumin, chipotle chili powder, and salt.
- Mix everything together until well combined.
- Taste and adjust salt if needed.
- Transfer to a serving bowl and serve with tortilla chips or fresh vegetables.
Notes
- Choose avocados that feel slightly soft when gently pressed but are not mushy.
- Keep jalapeno seeds if you prefer extra heat in the guacamole.
- Add extra lime juice on top of leftovers to slow browning.
- Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface before refrigerating.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
