Description

Soft Hawaiian rolls filled with shredded chicken, barbecue sauce, red onion, and melted cheese, baked until warm and gooey.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider rolls
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice the rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected.
  3. Mix shredded chicken with BBQ sauce in a bowl.
  4. Spread chicken on bottom rolls, add onion and cheese, then place top rolls on.
  5. Brush tops with melted butter.
  6. Cover with foil and bake 12 minutes, uncover and bake 5 more minutes.
  7. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

  1. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  2. Reheat covered in a 350°F oven until warmed through.
