Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup butter, room temperature

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 large egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/4 cups rolled oats

1 tsp ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/4 tsp ground cloves

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup finely chopped apple

2 tsp lemon juice

2/3 cup powdered sugar

2 tsp milk

2 tsp maple syrup

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment.

2. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

3. Add egg and vanilla; mix to combine.

4. Add flour, oats, cinnamon, baking soda, cloves, and salt; mix.

5. Toss apples with lemon juice, then fold into dough.

6. Scoop 2 tbsp portions, flatten slightly, and bake 12–14 minutes.

7. Cool completely before glazing.

8. Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and maple syrup until smooth. Drizzle over cookies.
