Ingredients
-
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (approx. 800 g)
-
1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
-
1 tsp (5 g) smoked paprika
-
1 tsp (5 g) garlic powder
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
-
Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3–5 minutes.
-
Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Rub all over with olive oil.
-
Season with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, lifting the skin to season underneath.
-
Place chicken skin-side down in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
-
Cook for 11–12 minutes, flip, then cook another 11–13 minutes until skin is golden and crisp and internal temperature reaches 175°F (79°C).
-
Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Dry skin before cooking for maximum crispiness.
Avoid crowding the basket so hot air circulates evenly.
Use a meat thermometer for best results.
Experiment with seasonings like chili powder, Italian herbs, or Cajun spice.
