Description
This peach iced tea is a refreshing summertime drink made with homemade peach syrup, black tea, and served over ice.
Ingredients

- 3 black tea bags
- 4 cups boiling water
- 3 large ripe peaches, chopped
- 2 cups water
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- Ice cubes
- Fresh peach slices for garnish
Instructions
- Bring 4 cups of water to a simmer and steep the tea bags for 5 minutes.
- Remove the tea bags and chill the black tea in the refrigerator.
- Blend peaches, sugar, and 1 cup of water for a few seconds.
- Pour the peach mixture into a saucepan and add the remaining water.
- Bring to a boil, then simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and steep for 30 minutes.
- Strain the peach syrup into a pitcher and chill completely.
- Combine the chilled black tea and peach syrup together.
- Serve over ice with fresh peach slices.
Notes
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
- The flavor tastes even better after chilling overnight.
- Add simple syrup if you prefer sweeter tea.
- Do not over-steep the tea bags to avoid bitterness.
